Bollywood And Hinduism

BOLLYWOOD AND HINDUISM

When I say Bollywood and Hinduism, you may think
Bollywood is a very religious type of industry, making movies like PK, OMG, and Padmavat. Well, this post may change your views.

I will highlight many movies in which Hinduism is butchered and no other religion is shown in bad light than our Sanatan Dharma.

TILAK

Foremost I want to make you realize that most of the villains in the movies wear tilak on their forehead. Tilak wearing is the standard of Bollywood villains and gangsters.

I will take an example of the movie bhool bhulaiya. A priest is shown as the object of humor.

Bollywood has many skilled directors and writers, but why target a Hindu priest ?. We often neglect these small issues as they are very normal, but they have a great impact on our subconscious mind.

 Humiliating Gods

I will highlight the scenes of two super hit movies. PK(2014) And Bahubali: The Beginning(2015). Both films were blockbusters and listed in the top ten grosser of Indian Cinema. But the treatment of Lord Shiva is completely opposite.

In PK, A Stage Actor dressed as Lord Shiva is made to run in lanes and toilets.

On the other hand, The same Lord Shiva is worshipped and praised in Bahubali.

Movie PK has humiliated our Hinduism in front of the whole world, whereas Bahubali has shown the glory of the culture. The scene in Bahubali still gives me Goosebumps.

In the movie Marjaavan(2019), the villain’s name is Vishnu, Now the question arises, Did the creativity of our writers, producers, and directors suddenly disappear?, So they are using names of our Gods as their villains?.

The other day I was watching the trailer of this new movie Mardani 2, and in that, a mask of Lord Hanuman is used as an object of horror.

I don’t understand, why they cannot use the masks of witches or ghosts? but instead, they used Lord Hanuman to create horror.

MISSTATING MANTRAS

In the Bollywood movie, Love per Square foot, A couple had a conversation about public romance and suddenly they both get out of control, the boy comes closer to kiss her and casually whispers something in her ear.

He says:
“ Raghukul reet sadaa chali aai,
Pran jaye par pappi na jaye..”
What does this line mean? What was the intention of the scriptwriter?
This line represents the pride of Lord Ram's family and now the famous promise is reduced to "pappi"?.
I sincerely advise my readers, please be aware of what you are paying for, what do you think is a movie maybe is more than that. Bollywood is trying hard to mind wash the youngsters of this generation and move them from Religion to drinks and drugs. (Other's view may vary)

Thank you for reading.
